Why “Blue Scarf”?

When I started my business, I wanted a name that reflected my approach to evaluation—practical and purposeful. Inspiration struck one day while twirling the end of the blue scarf I was wearing. I realized that a scarf is a perfect metaphor for evaluation—they’re useful, flexible, and come in so many different colors, textures, and styles. It turns out the color blue is reputed to connote confidence and trust and to have a calming effect—attributes that reflect my working style. And so my business became Blue Scarf Consulting.
